Corbett Tourism was founded by Rajan Singh, a third-generation resident of Dhikuli village — the gateway to Jim Corbett National Park. Growing up watching tigers from his doorstep, Rajan knew this wilderness deserved to be shared with the world — responsibly.

What began as a single-jeep operation in 2003 has grown into Uttarakhand's most trusted wildlife tourism company. Today, our team of 40+ naturalists, drivers, and hospitality professionals operates across all five safari zones, dozens of partner resorts, and tour packages spanning the entire Kumaon region.

We are not just tour operators — we are storytellers, conservationists, and custodians of one of India's most precious ecosystems. Every safari we run contributes to local employment and forest conservation initiatives.

Our Story

Two Decades in the Making

From a single jeep to Uttarakhand's most awarded wildlife tour company — here's how we grew.

2003

The First Jeep

Rajan Singh conducted his first commercial jeep safari into Bijrani Zone with just six guests from Delhi. Word spread quickly about his encyclopaedic knowledge of tiger behaviour.

2006

Dhikala Night Stay Access

We became one of the first private operators to offer packaged Dhikala Forest Rest House stays, opening up overnight forest experiences to a wider audience.

2009

First International Guests

A group of wildlife photographers from the UK and Germany joined our Dhikala Tiger Tour — sparking a relationship with international conservation photography communities that continues today.

2013

Responsible Tourism Certification

Awarded the India Responsible Tourism Initiative certification. We formalised our community employment policy, ensuring 70% of staff are hired from villages adjacent to the park.

2017

Expanded to Char Dham & Nainital

Launched Uttarakhand-wide packages combining Jim Corbett with the sacred Char Dham circuit and the scenic Kumaon hill stations, making us a full-region expert.

2020

Conservation Pledge

Committed 5% of all tour revenues to the Jim Corbett Tiger Foundation. Funded installation of 30 camera traps and anti-poaching equipment in buffer zones during the pandemic shutdown.

2025

20+ Years & 50,000+ Guests

Celebrated our 20th anniversary having hosted guests from 45+ countries, trained 12 local naturalists, and helped document 3 previously unrecorded bird species in the Phato buffer zone.
