Arrival → Jhirna Evening Safari → Campfire Dinner

First Zone: Jhirna — Year-Round Wildlife

Arrive Ramnagar by noon. Check in, welcome lunch at the resort. At 2:30 PM, depart for Jhirna Zone — a 3-hour afternoon safari through open forests and grasslands. Jhirna is famous for Sloth Bears, Nilgai, Barking Deer, Jungle Cats and over 300 resident bird species. The evening light creates beautiful silhouettes on the chaur edges. Return to resort for campfire dinner and briefing for tomorrow's dawn tiger safari.

Rise at 5 AM. Dawn safari in Bijrani Zone — Corbett's most celebrated tiger zone with a dense sal forest corridor, seasonal stream, and open chaurs. Your naturalist positions you at known tiger crossing points and interprets every alarm call and pugmark. Fantastic light for photography 5:30–8:00 AM. Return for hot breakfast. Rest and afternoon wildlife talk. Optional evening nature walk along the Kosi river (outside park boundaries).

Final dawn safari in Dhela Zone — a buffer zone outside the park's core that borders Terai villages and has extraordinary biodiversity. Wild elephants, Hog Deer, and large bird species (Great Hornbill, Indian Roller, Pied Kingfisher) are frequent sightings. Less crowded than core zones. Checkout breakfast. Receive your Wildlife Sighting Report. Depart for Delhi or onwards by 11 AM.

Why visit 3 zones instead of repeating the same zone?

Each zone has completely different terrain and wildlife composition. Bijrani's dense sal forest favours big cats. Jhirna's open scrub is perfect for Sloth Bears and reptiles. Dhela's buffer zone has elephants and riverine birdlife you won't find in the core. Visiting all three triples your species list and photography variety — you're essentially doing three different national parks in one trip.

Is this tour suitable for first-time safari-goers?

Three safaris across three zones means even if you don't spot a tiger (though your chances are excellent in Bijrani), you'll have rich and varied wildlife sightings across the other zones.
